PROJECTS
  • Haiti 2015
Thank you to our partner for this project, Hope for Haiti, and all of our sponsors! The school supplies were distributed to a school in the remote village of Gris Gris in Haiti. This school was in great need of supplies.

Message received: "Let Them Dream Foundation for Kids has helped the children in a big way! Mesi anpil (many thanks) for thinking of the school children of Haiti"
  • Zimbabwe, Africa - 2014
March 13, 2014 update: We have successfully completed our next project to help Madziwa Primary School in Harare, Zimbabwe, Africa, by delivering school supplies on March 13, 2014! The supplies were distributed to the Orphan and OVC (Orphaned & Vulnerable Children, whose parents were affected by AIDS), students who would greatly benefit from school supplies to pursue their goals through education.

Message received from the school “...it was so touching and some children and teachers were crying....thanks to you (Let Them Dream Foundation), some kids in Madziwa are waking up with happy faces”

We will also be sending 14 computers to help set up computer labs in poor schools in developing countries, including Madziwa Primary School. We will be holding a charity fundraiser to assist with shipping of these computers.

Recycle and Reduce E-Waste: These 14 recycled computers will help children in need, and at the same time protect our earth against the harmful effects of e-waste.

    – The Dream Team
  • Punjab, India - 2013
After much planning and help from our donators, we have sent Dream Packages to Government Primary school in Kakrala Kalan, Ludhiana, India for children in grades 1-5. This school often does not have enough supplies for every child, hindering the full potential of students. Thanks to our team, these children can begin the New Year 2014 with new stationary to continue on with their education.

We are wishing these children all the best in 2014, and we hope you, our donators, will continue to help us make dreams come true – The Dream Team
  • Oneida (Indigenous Reserve) Southwold, Canada - 2016
Our 2016 project was for a First Nations School in Southwold, ON (Standing Stones Elementary School). We had the opportunity to visit the school and do a presentation on the importance of education, encouraging students to complete high school and pursue higher education. Two students from the First Nations Student Association at Western University also accompanied us and shared their stories about overcoming challenges with education. We also ran activities and traditional dances during the event - the students were very eager to participate and contribute! A huge thank you to South Fletcher's Library and our sponsors for helping us with fundraisers for the supplies.
  • Refugee Program in Toronto, Canada - 2018
University of Toronto Medical School students hosted a donation drive to raise school supplies for the Model Schools for Inner Cities program at Ryerson Community School (Toronto, Canada). This program had 50 new refugee students register and they will be opening two new kindergarten classrooms to accommodate them. These school supplies will help them start their journey with education in Canada.
  • Immigrant & Refugee Program in Toronto, Canada - 2019
University of Toronto Medical School students hosted their second school supplies donation drive to raise school supplies for the Newcomers Homework club. This is an afterschool program for immigrant and refugee children living in Regent Park and surrounding areas (gr. 3-8).

Why Help?

“More than 57 million children around the world do not go to primary school. At least 250 million children cannot read or count, even if they have spent four years in school”

Most children are deprived of the basic necessities to go to school, from textbooks to simple stationary products. We believe every child deserves a chance to get education...and a chance to dream.
